The staff in this hotel are the the best ive seen in any hotel! Very polite and always willing to help! Our room and bathroom were very clean and tidy. The restaurant is stylish and modern and serves fantastic food. I will definately be staying here again.

Stayed here for the August bank holiday weekend with my husband and was delighted with our stay in Villa Rose. It is excellent value for money but the staff made the difference - very chatty and keen to ensure all was in order. Hotel is split in two with new extension out back where the function room is and most of bedrooms. There was a big wedding on and we were worried about noise level but quickly assured that our room was in the old wing and away from wedding. That meant the room was a bit more dated but a fair trade off for a quiet nights sleep. We ate in restaurant both nights - huge choice in food - could stay here a week and still have a good choice - and again great value. We also had a massage which was blissful and used the spa beforehand (price was included in our massage but wouldnt pay €25 to use it on its own as it really only has a steam room and hydro pool but great for pre massage). We used the hotel as a base for lots of hillwalking in Donegal which was amazing and I would definately come back to Villa Rose if back in the area - in fact I couldnt see any other hotel that could compete in other towns we visited.

Spent weekend here for family wedding. Thought it was a wonderful hotel. Lovely staff. Good rooms. Good breakfast (great bacon and sausages). Would recommend. Only thing I didn't like the whole weekend was the restaurant meal I had. The portions were ridiculously large. Far too much. I'm a guy who loves his food and half of my plateful would have been enough for me! Also thought the food was very 'pub-food like'. It was well presented and service was very good but the food was definitely the disappointment. Most of the guests eating on this occasion agreed with this. The wedding dinner however was very good. Once again, big portions. Definitely a nice hotel to stay at or have a function.

Having spent 13th and 14th July at the Villa Rose Hotel during one of the busiest holiday periods in Donegal I can only say Wow! to both the accommodation and customer service provided at this hotel. Our room was spacious with flat screen tv and very tastefully decorated. We had dinner on our first night in the hotel restaurant and the meal was absolutely delicious. Credit needs to be mentioned to who I think was the Restaurant Supervisor ,a lady with blond hair and wearing white top as she was a credit to the hotel. The bar area in the main hotel is very modern and a lovely place to unwind. I would without doubt recommend the hotel if you are looking for a fabulous 4 star break.

We stayed here for a wedding. Its a small pokey entrance on the main street of Ballybofy, which is misleading because there is a massive new wing out the back. Really modern and stylish. Rooms were very modern and new, wooden floors, flat screen, lovely bathroom, big king size bed. Breakfast was good too. Only complaint was that it was so warm, at the wedding reception and in the rooms; heard a rumour that the hotel doesn't have any air-conditioning which is a surprise as it is a very good 4* hotel.

we stayed for one night (sunday) as it was a special 59 euro offer online. Hotel was deceiving from front as looks small but the main hotel is actually behind the main street and out of view!! the room was very clean and elegant feel to it!! breakfast was also lovely! the chinese down the street was r only cheap option - dont order the kung po!! :) nothing much in the actual town but u wont want to leave the hotel room anyway!!
