We have just spent 2 nights in this gorgeous house, with the most charming of hosts, Mary and Jeremy. They provide an extremely high standard of accommodation, and wonderful breakfasts and afternoon teas, with delicious home baking. There is a very relaxed, welcoming feel to this house, and we thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent there. We intend to treat ourselves to another stay here, at the earliest opportunity. Also, the Molten Brown toiletries provided were very much appreciated! I would highly recommend Kilmahon House, for anyone who needs a tranquil, stress-free break. The perfect getaway after a hectic week working in the City!

Room Tip: Every room in this house is gorgeous, and furnished appropriately. The master bedroom is especially...

Wonderful place to stay. Mary and Jeremy are perfect hosts and we could not have been made more comfortable and welcome. Mary even dropped us to restaurants and collected us when we were ready to return home. Fantastic food and great chat. I'm already looking forward to returning.

Kilmahon House is the perfect place to take some time out and to step off the treadmill of life. We felt so welcome and at home (admittedly our home is nothing like Kilmahon House, but you know what I mean!) the minute we arrived. Mary and Jeremy are truly lovely, warm, hospitable, welcoming people. You can see the blood, sweat and tears that went into renovating the building and the time and care that combine to make the house a beautiful, impressive, well appointed, wonderful place to stay. Kilmahon House is immaculate and superbly stylish. The Drawing Room, Dining Room, Lounge, landings are all beautifully decorated, and the furniture befits the proportions of the room/area and clearly has been carefully chosen. We were lucky enough to have been staying for two nights over the October bank holiday weekend. We stayed in the Master Bedroom which was divine, with two large windows through which the sun streamed. The weather was glorious that weekend, with the sun shining brightly in the blue sky on both Saturday and Monday. I think that Mary and Jeremy may have arranged the weather for those few days too ! The sun filled the bedroom and the magnificent adjoining bathroom (ensuite Is not an adequate description of that bathroom!). There were gorgeous views of the countryside in the autumnal light. Breakfast is an amazing spread of fresh fruit (pineapple, melon, strawberries, blueberries, kiwi fruit, grapes, raspberries), cereal, yogurt along with an awe-inspiring range of freshly baked bread, muffins, pastries, banana bread - all baked by Mary ! And then there's the cooked breakfast, freshly cooked when you're ready for it. The choice is yours, full Irish, scrambled eggs, poached eggs, bacon, sausages, smoked salmon ... whatever you wish. I don't usually eat a large amount in the morning but I couldnt resist the array on offer and enjoyed a long, large, leisurely breakfast both mornings.Garryvoe Beach is close by and stretches for miles, and is a great place to get out and about in the fresh air to work off that yummy breakfast !

A little bit of me wants to keep the slice of heaven on earth that is Kilmahon House a secret but the rest of me wants to tell everyone I know about it to encourage them to go there to ensure that it's a success. Mary and Jeremy deserve to be a success. I could say so much more about Kilmahon House, and there is so much more to say but I'm not going to do so. Send them an email or give them a call, go, stay there and discover everything for yourself !

Room Tip: Any of them, all are beautifully and tastefully decorated and the house is so peaceful and quiet tha...

How does a one night scheduled stay turn in to seven? Well, I found the perfect house in a wonderful location, and I simply did not want to leave. Mary and Jeremy are exceptional hosts. They will do everything possible, and then some, to make your visit memorable. The meals are excellent...Breakfast is so good, you could linger over it for hours. The bedrooms are lovely, very roomy, with views all the way to the sea. Plenty to do and see in this scenic part of Ireland. There are also ideal spots in this wonderful house for relaxing and ample opportunity for privacy when you just want to curl up with a good book. The grounds are very pretty, with walled rose gardens and wide, sweeping lawns and towering trees...great views and areas to play in for kids, if you are traveling as a family. This is the perfect location to choose for a "home away from home". I promise, you will not be disappointed in Mary and Jeremy's Kilmahon House.

I had the great pleasure of enjoying a Saturday night with friends in Kilmahon House. It was one of the loveliest short breaks I've enjoyed in an Irish guesthouse without exception. The big old Georgian house was warm in atmosphere and temperature and the breakfast, was genuinely the best I've had (and I can say that hand on heart as a seasoned world traveller). Mary and Jeremy are genuine and unobtrusive hosts who make you feel that for a short time their home is yours. I will return to Kilmahon for many occasions and weekend getaways to come.

A wonderful weekend with my partner in a beautiful location….What more could you ask for, a grand house lovingly restored with period furniture, huge comfortable bedroom with a Queen sized bed, beautiful furnishings and a luxury bathroom. Our hosts Mary and Jeremy were truly exceptional, nothing was too much trouble, delicious Irish breakfast with smoked salmon, fresh baked breads and homemade smoothies, lifts to and from the local restaurants and a nigh-cap with freshly baked cakes awaiting in the Drawing room on our return…. the perfect hosts. Looking forward to my next visit, I cannot recommend too highly….many thanks Mary and Jeremy, looking forward to seeing you again soon.
