“What a ruin should be!”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

There is a special feel about this place. There are all sorts of photo opportunities, but it's unusual to be able to walk through a ruined castle/monastery/chapel and get the feel of the place in what would have been its grandeur. Unlike many of the castles in the area, Quin Abbey isn't about anything other than what was there- no artifice, no glitz. It's worth the trip.

“Great Abbey in Quinn”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Just got back July 18, 2013 from Ireland. Quinn Abbey was a bonus with so many grave stones and ruins to explore. Great place to put on your daytrip!

This abbey is in ruins, yet still amazing. We went here to take wedding pictures and had a wonderful time. The pictures are truly incredible!

“Freedom to explore...”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

Found this while traveling through Ireland and thanks to the local tourism recommendation. We had the freedom to explore the Friary ruins on our own schedule. There aren't any restricted areas which allowed us to experience an accurate portrayal of what the Franciscan's would have walked through on a daily basis. Definitely worth the stop if you are nearby!
