Not having visited the Burren for about thirty years (not since a school tour) I expected the entire area to be covered in stone (karst). How wrong was I? Corofin is situated in the most beautiful lush landscape - ideal for walkers or runners. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city living - this is the ideal holiday home and location. The cottage (converted cow shed believe it or not) is perfect to use as a base if exploring the west coast of Ireland or an ideal hideaway for two if you decide not to venture out for the duration of your stay! The house is central to Lahinch, Doolin and Lisdoonvarna where you'll find the touristy diddlyeyedileye music that visitors to the west of Ireland expect ad eek out. The cottage is close to Ennis which is a great shopping town; the list is endless as to the local attractions and things to see - there's a lake; a heritage area; a museum...we stayed with our two dogs and had a wonderful holiday. The photos are perfectly representative; there is a little private decking area to the rear of the cottage. I cannot sing the praises highly enough of Isabelle, the host who was welcoming, helpful and informative. I love An bho teach and can't wait to get back there again. It is exactly how it looks but with a wonderful warm feeling. I'm a number one fan! The roads are a maze - but Isabelle had emailed perfect directions to finding the house - use them!!!
