Had a very good stay here and the manger Maeve was so helpful. Rooms were very good and the view excellent. Old style hotel but staff were very good. Rooms very clean and food for both dinner and breakfast was excellent.

Maeve helped us plan the next day of our sightseeing and also arranged our next accommodation. She went out of her way to be of assistance and she is very funny.

Thoroughly recommend this place as a great location and a good place to stay. Prices were reasonable as well.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the lake. It is really worth it.

Room was a little dated but view overlooking the lake was beautiful. The balcony..well not the best selling point as it was tiny. The breakfast was the most disapointing..not much of a choice and it was served in the bar which stank of stale beer from the previous night. It was ok but cant see myself returning anytime soon

I stayed at the hotel last night with my partner and I feel utterly compelled to write a letter of complaint regarding the state of the accommodation on offer to us. Although the view from the room was nice the actual presentation and finish of the room had a lot to be desired!
Problems with the room included a lack of a phone to contact reception, filthy windows, a crap television with no remote control (I had to open the front panel on the tv to make any adjustments to volume or channel), filthy toilet, an empty box of tissues in the bathroom, zero 'in date' information in the guest information folder, overly worn bedspread that was in no way inviting to lie down on. The room also had the appearance of having never been decorated in at least 20 years. Disgraceful in every respect.
The problems didn't just stop with the room. The hotel in general was very shabby with scratched doors and paintings dangling from broken frames. C'mon! things like that can be repaired with ease! The breakfast room was poor with many filthy tables left unattended. How can you call this a 3 star hotel???
I sincerely regret staying there with my partner.

Room Tip: Don't stay there!

Groupon Deal - stayed Fri & Sat night B&B and ate in hotel both nights. Room clean & spacious, great view over lake especially as the sun was setting. Bed very comfy.

Breakfast both mornings very tasty - 1st morning was waitress service & could order whatever you wanted, toast, cooked breakfast, tea, coffee.
Cereal, fruit, yoghurts, juice etc was self service. 2nd morning everything was buffet style & could still have as much as you wanted.

OH had Sirloin Steaks both nights - to die for! i had chicken breast in breadcrumbs 1st night which was beautiful as i don't usually eat steak. Told by OH that i didn't know what i was missing if i didn't try it so had Sirloin the 2nd night and it was out of this world.

We live outside Belfast but would certainly drive the 2-hour journey just for a meal.

Hope to see this on Groupon again soon

Room Tip: Request a room with a view over the lake - you won't be disappointed.

I am from Co Antrim, Belfast City, myself and a group of freinds stayed at the Lakeside Manor Hotel on the weekend of 1st September 2012, we were attending a function at Virginia RFC, Imagine our delight when we discovered that Willie (Bill) John McBride & His wife Penny were staying in the same hotel for the weekend. The views were spectular from the Balcony in our room & the restuarant, panoramic views over the beautifull Lough Ramor. I had a fillet steak on the stone & My wife had the Salmon on our first night, best meal ever, there was an impromptu music session in the corner of the lounge with everyone having a great happy family atomsphere. We will certainly be back. at Breakfast on the sunday morning Calum Best and a freind were dining, seems like a place full of stars and that includes the staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view, no extra charge & the view is spectacular

I attended a family wedding at this hotel with my wife and daughter, we overnighted and were delighted at the result. The staff could not have been more helpful and reassuring as my daughter has a severe nut allergy and food selection can sometimes be a problem but the staff effortlessly accommodated us. The wedding ceremony and function was hosted in the Failte Suite an ideal bright room with its own bar. The hotel was very child friendly and staff were quickly on a first name basis with the parents of 'little darlings'. The event was managed in a very professional but warm manner.

Room Tip: Request a lakeside view and First floor
