We booked a table for our family group of 14 for lunch. If a restaurant is not buzzing on Easter Sunday, and St Kyrans was fully booked through two sittings.

Even so, the service was friendly and efficient - we had expected some delays - absolutely none!

The menu offered us a wide choice - the group choose a wide selection - pork bellies, pate, ravioli, smoked haddock and soup. Excellent.

We followed with rib eye beef, sea bass, chicken, lamb and fresh vegetables. Deserts were equally delicious. Our 3 courses cost less than €30 per head - food only.

Within the group, we had 2 very young children - smoothly integrated into the group without impacting the level of service.

A great lunch...

PS If you are booking early, ask for one of the tables overlooking the lake....fabulous view.

St. Kyrans is a fabulous spot providing a magical view of Lough Ramor and its islands. The variety, even on the early bird menu, is impressive. Fresh ingredients, ingenious presentation and pure tastiness made for a sumptuos meal. The staff are cordial and attentive. All in all a great dining experience.

A family gathering this trip - excellent meal and great service. Our visitors were very pleased with the location - their first trip there. Not overly crowed for a Sunday afternoon, meant the Patrick & Helena were able to give us more time and a tour of their new B&B section. Well worth a visit with great views from bedrooms.

Four of us stayed at St Kyran's in October 2012. We arrived a few hours after landing in Dublin and were treated royally from the first minute. Rooms were ready when we arrived at 11 am which was unexpected but so appreciated. We were invited for tea and the most delicious scones before retiring to our incredible rooms for an afternoon's nap. When we awoke we walked down the hall for a 5+ star dinner. What a way to start our trip! When we left the next afternoon we were all looking forward to our return 2 night visit the following week. And we were not disappointed. It was a glorious way to wrap up our visit to Ireland.

This is by far the best place I have ever stayed in - not just in Ireland but in all of my travels. Patrick and Helena are amazing hosts - they truly make you feel like you are a lifelong friend. Actually every staff member treated you that way. The rooms are luxurious and have every amenity you might need. And the restaurant - oh my! The food was amazing and beautifully served. And Patrick's after dinner drinks are quite a treat!

I've always said the best part of Ireland is the people and Patrick and Helena proved that to me again. They took care of us as guests while treating us like family.

St Kyran's is 90 minutes from Dublin's airport - a perfect place to start and/or end your trip. I have told everyone I know about this place and will continue to do so. I always look forward to visiting Ireland - and a multiple night stay at St Kyran's will be on every itinerary going forward.

Visited here during December .We were welcomed in and told to wait for our table which we had reserved , after sometime we were asked if we would like to move to our table which we said yes thank you, only to be then told to hold on as the table was not yet ready .. after a time we were then brought to the table with a slight apology, and then offered the menu..The food ,which was very slow to arrive was excellent but the service was just awful with the waitresses serving from both right and left sides ..Obviously there is no thought given to training of staff for such a highly priced restaurant .
If you like nice food at Premium prices served by untrained staff then it's for you, but personally would not be inclined to return...
