“Great Entertainment and Ball Park”

The Tennessee Smokies ball park is easy to get to and is a loaded with quality value and entertainment.
The ballpark is set against the Tenn hills and provides a great evening of fun baseball. The Smokies are the Chicago Cubs Double AA affiliate and have several rising stars on the team.

“Nice park -- great night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

We had a great time last night at the Smokies game. It was a delightful evening and great seats. The only problem was that the Smokies lost, but they made it an entertaining game and a close game. They had a nice fireworks show after the game.

“Nine Innings of Vacation!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013

Went here twice on my trip to the Gatlinburg area. Typical nice modern ballpark. The usual green seats. Architecture the same as most parks built in the last 20 years. The last two sections down the right field and left field lines are metal benches. You are able to walk around the outfield or sit in the "Berm" grass out there just over the fence. We bought tickets in the first row behind first base(in advance) and my nine year old was lucky enough to get a foul ball thrown to him by the first base coach! There is a nice Kid Zone that features two inflatable rides, a playground, a speed pitch, hitting station, dunk tank, and prize wheel. A dollar for each. You can also purchase a five dollar wristband for unlimited rides on the inflatables. Wasn't impressed with the food selection from the concession stands. Was there for a dollar hotdog night, and the hot dogs were not too good. They had stripes and were pale. May have been chicken and pork dogs. They did have a restaurant down the third base side that offered wings and sandwiches, but we did not try it. The concession prices were lower than most of the parks I have been to. Sixteen ounce beer is five bucks. The Smokies do the usual in between innings promotions. However, the one my kids liked the best was the unique Chicken Run. A person dressed as a chicken is chased by a group of kids from the left field foul pole to the first base line. The Rally Team does a really good job with the between innings promotions, especially the young lady with the long blond hair. She was really nice to a youngster who was apprehensive about running the Chicken Run. She talked him into doing it. If you are a baseball fan and are in the area, check out the Smokies. Your family will have a great time.

“Great game--great fans”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013

Terrific game. Walk off homerun in ninth. Local crowd is really into things and this makes the game so much more fun. Strangely enough, the worst seats in the place are the front row, first and third base. No leg room--a concrete wall and the seats are almost on the ground. Sit anywhere else. Food is just ok. Nothing unique or really interesting. Most of the beers are ordinary except you can get Old Style--not a great beer but an interesting change. Oh, and the stadium is really pretty.

“Always a good time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013

We come to a smokies game frequently. Always pleasant staff! The ushers are great and monitor the seating area well. They used to have a designated smoking area on 1st and 3rd base side, which they've elimanted you now have to go outside the gates. Though frustrating to miss some of the game, understandable. GO SMOKIES!
