“Pleasant”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

We stayed here and truly enjoyed each day. We have family in Knoxville, so we were looking for a hotel that was convenient not only to them, but to shopping, dining and entertainment. This is it.
The pool area was very attractive with river rock, waterfalls, and grilling areas. Our room opened onto the pool area, which made enjoying the patio and pool area wonderful. We enjoyed dining at the table under the gazebo and lounging on the patio. The breakfast was extraordinarily delicious and they do a phenomenal job of keeping it tidy with friendly service. This was my first stay at a Comfort Inn. There will be more!

room was large enough for my daughter and I and 2 grandchildren. Clean, no sign of bed bugs, which is my first concern when traveling. Great breakfast. Lots to choose from. Staff was very friendly and helpful. would stay here again.

Room Tip: stayed on the first floor at the back, very quiet rooms.

The personnel was very friendly, and the breakfast was very good. We weren't crazy about the room. It still has one of these heavy bedspreads and the carpet needs cleaning. Little old. Wouldn't stay there again.

I stayed at this hotel in early July due to a family member having major surgery at a near by hospital. I had looked on trip advisor and read the reviews so I felt confident I would have a good stay. I was not disappointed. The staff were very helpful and made me feel comfortable at a very hard time in my life. Even better, they made me laugh. Kudos to all of the people who work there. I will be back.

We were in Knoxville for a sports event, and wanted to stay at a value-priced hotel near the venue. This was the best price.

The rooms are large, pretty plain, very clean (important to us) and must have been updated in the last couple of years. Ours had a large flat panel TV with Comcast cable, so we could actually view an on-screen guide to choose programs. That's a first! The queen beds had nice firm mattresses with a bunch of pillows. The bathroom was small, but we liked the fact that the sink was outside of the commode/shower area. Makes it much easier for two people to get cleaned up at the same time without fogging the mirror. The only thing we didn't like was the old-fashioned HVAC unit. Between the push-buttons and dials, we couldn't get the room the right temperature. It was pretty quiet though, and could definitely pump out some cool air.

The staff was on par with a lot of 4- and 5-star hotels that I've stayed at. The folks at the front desk were extremely friendly and efficient. We showed up very early and there were no rooms available, but we hung out in a cool little business center area and were notified when the first room was cleaned. Five minutes after we got into our room, the person who checked us in called just to make sure everything was fine. Whenever we walked by the desk, someone said hello. We really felt appreciated.

The breakfast was pretty average, with basic hot (pre-cooked) and cold options. We arrived when it was pretty crowded, but the attendant was working diligently to fill the coffee and empty food trays.

We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but the workout room had plenty of cardio options and two TVs. Other than the hallways which are a little dark, they have done a good job of keeping what appears to be an older hotel in good shape.

Room Tip: 1st floor poolside rooms offer easy access for the kids, but can be loud when the pool is crowded.

You never know when u book- but this was better than I expected! The staff was so courteous and friendly. The room clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub even though it was out of order and the jets not working. The breakfast of great, full hot breakfast. Have plans to return on the way back.

The staff that we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. They had given us a room on the 2nd floor but when I explained that my sister (who was traveling with me) could not walk up stairs they immediately gave us a room on the first floor, no problem. The room looked like it had been recently renovated or was new. Plugs were not coming out of the wall. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Makeup area which is outside of the bathroom is a little small but very servicable. The room had a very pleasant scent of citrus when we arrived. The air conditioner worked well. No chipping caulk / paint around tub or door areas. Breakfast included biscuit and gravy and two kinds of waffles and there was plenty of room to sit. Overall it was a perfect stay. I will come back to this hotel when we come back to Knoxville.
