We were at the Jazz Club on a Thursday night so we were pleasantly surprised by the performing Jazz group.
Our Waiter was excellent - very attentive, knowledgable of the food items and explained the history of the Home.
We asked for a none smoking area in the restaurant - but unfortunately, the Cigar Bar stench has consumed even what was supposed to be non-smoking. We were taken to a dingy room with a few other tables - the horizontal blinds were dirty and had something splashed on them.
The Food was good - Crab Cakes, Strawberry Salad, Filet, Brocolini and mashed potatoes. My husband had the crab cakes, Lobster Bisque, Filet, mushrooms and Onion Hash. He enjoyed his food as well. We were offered dessert but were too full.
IF the room we were taken too had been clean and free of the cigar stench the Baker Peters Jazz Club would have provided a wonderful evening and a 5 star rating.

The food here is outstanding and the small intimate dining room is perfect for a romantic dinner. A bit pricey but worth it.

The food will surprise you at this "Jazz Club" If you come ofr the food, sit downstairs where the room is quiet. The steaks are outstanding

In the winter the patio is heated and enclosed, and you can still enjoy great jazz music. The filet bites appetizer is a must. All of the apps are tasty. Interesting history behind this restaurant/jazz club.

I have been to this restaurant several times, mainly for the mix of live music. The variety of music consists mainly of local musicians including a trio of music professors from UT Knoxville. The look of the restaurant is rustic set in an old Knoxville mansion. Inside it is extremely smoky filled with cigarette and cigar smoke. I don't mind a cigar bar, but I would prefer a separate cigar smoking area like many restaurants who allow cigar smoking, have.

The food is great. The restaurant is mainly known for its steaks. The service is superb! I was greeted immediately and the server was very friendly and responsive. That is how it has been every time. If there is one knock on Baker Peters its the smoky atmosphere. The restaurant could at least provide a separate area for cigar smoking.
