One of the frequent problems I find at restaurants serving "Thai" cuisine is that so many of them seem to be trying to sweeten food that doesn't require it, resulting in a sort of "plain macaroni" taste. This establishment abandons that idea and serves their dishes in shades of bitter, which is a welcome break. Most of the entrees use notably fresher and better-quality ingredients than their competitors, and the service is almost always attentive to detail - I haven't had an order come out wrong yet. Their burgeoning popularity has not diminished the food quality. There are competitors in the Knoxville area that provide a more cushy dining experience (it's plain old table-and-chairs at Taste of Thai), and some that have a more diverse menu (Thai along with Chinese, sushi, etc), but for core food quality this location probably has them all beat.
