“Surprise surprise surprise”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

Don't judge a book by it's cover. Head inside for a delightful adventure In to the Holy Land Market and Deli. Walter and Denise will create a meal for you that is bound to please. We ate everything, and shopped for supply's in the market. You will definitely get a taste of The Holy Land. Don't back off when Walters suggest a corn beef sandwich. It is as good as New York has to offer and we know good corn beef . If you are anywhere near Knoxville, get off the highway and head to the Holy Land. PS: Don't leave without dessert

“Best Mediterranean food I've ever eaten”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

Tabouli, fatuous, falafels, stuffed grape leaves, gyros... Unbelievable! I have eaten Mediterranean cuisine in 8 states. This is HANDS-DOWN the best! The food is also priced reasonably. The owners take time to speak with every customer. Absolutely a must for anyone who enjoys the favors of the Middle East.

“Trip advisors was Right On!”
Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

What a fun dinner! The food was delicious and authentic and the atmosphere was great. Our favorite part was getting to meet the owner and his wife. They treated us like family and made our first night in Knoxville very memorable.....wish we lived closer (dallas) so we could enjoy it more often!!!!

“A little Gem”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

I visit Knoxville a lo,t and during our last trip we decided to try this deli, which has a small cafe/restaurant in one corner. Firstly we were very warmly welcomed by Walter, who very passionately explained all our food choices, (one of our party is coeliac ) he told us all about the ingredients and how it was cooked. So, because we all love our food so much, we created our own teasing menu and ordered a little bit of everything!!!! OMG, we were not disappointed, every morsel was a delight, we all were in food heaven. When we finished our food, we ordered more food to take home with us, so we could eat it the next day!! This was a Deli with some tables, but I would love to see Walter and his family open a 'restaurant' his food deserves that status. The eating area was a little dated and maybe could have been more inviting, that didn't bother me, but some people might need more beautiful surroundings in order to fully enjoy their food? I allow the food to speak for itself. I will be going back soon.

“Pretty good”
Reviewed September 10, 2013 via mobile

We would have never found this place if it weren't for Trip Advisor. It's not what we expected but a great place none-the-less. The hummus was our absolute favorite! The main dishes (gyro & ) were like other places we had eaten at. I must say the staff is very friendly and accomodating as well. We would definitely return and recommend to others.
