Small room, but relatively clean and comfortable. Had difficulty maintaining a good temperature with the a/c unit, but it was mid-August. The sink, desk and office chair were shabby and could use an update, but overall it was acceptable for the price. Good for shoe-string budgets.
The hotel was close to where we needed to be for our one night stay. Rooms were small ( we knew they were) but clean. The Tv was dated but worked ok. The breakfast bar had fewer selections than most but considering the cost of room was not surprised. Cereal, bagels, juices, coffee and a few other items.
We 'rolled into Knoxville' on Labour day...in a tow truck...and found the repair shop our insurance sent us to for the repairs on my broke down car...CLOSED! Car-less on a holiday 2 hours from home we started to walk and came across this Microtel. We were so grateful the man at the front desk offered to let us borrow a phone charger as we were out on a day trip and not at all prepared for an overnight trip. As I lay here in a comfy bed, all showered and cleaned up, I look back on our 2 hour tow truck ride without air-conditioning on a typical sunny Tennessee 90 degree Labour day, and I can't help but be very thankful for this Microtel tonight!
Everything was wonderful here. Very friendly front desk clerk, love the window seat in the room, bed is very comfortable, everything was clean. Didn't get up in time for hotel breakfast. Very convenient right off of the interstate, & several restaurants are close by.
