My husband and I stay here once or twice a month when we're in town too late to drive to our rural home. Yes, some of the rooms are in need of updating (like the broken white sink that had been repaired with black glue), but the rooms are always clean and quiet. Rooms are small but very efficiently laid out and include a fridge. Breakfast is light but adequate and served early (if you want the hot breakfast bar, pay $30 more to stay someplace else). There are restaurants and stores nearby. With a coupon from travelcoupons.com, a queen room with breakfast for two is less than $50, which in my book is a bargain for a clean, quiet, safe place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for ground floor if you don't want to wait for the elevator. We usually have a room on the...

This in, although a cheap rate, you get what you pay for. The room was as big as a large closet, although clean. The room air conditioner smelled like mildew and we finally had to shut it off to get some sleep. The breakfast was very limited.

I've stayed at a few different Microtels and this is one of the nicer ones. The only real issue I have is the desk clerk trashed my hometown and eventual destination after seeing my license. She did help recommend places to eat and drink. I got a special deal on Priceline.com. They offered a special rate for this day only through the site.

The place was pretty much quiet and clean.

Puleo's is down the street. Great steak. Best grits I've ever had EASILY.

Room Tip: You can get good deals on Priceline, but you won't get Wyndam Rewards points unless you book thr...

Please, never, ever stay in this "inn".
It is horrific. It smells to rancid tobacco smoke everywhere, rooms are terrible, outdated, Formica "modular" furniture is chipped, and carpet has seen more than decade of dirty feet. I checked in, opened the room and went back to the front desk to ask for cancellation of my reservation to avoid charges and they refused.
Anyways, I paid and left. I preferred spending the night in a friend's sofa covered with a coat that in that hole.

I stay at this Microtel each time I'm on business in the E. Knoxville area. There are three main reasons: price (use the red coupon book), basic cleanliness, and the bed. While it needs some updating and the stairways could use deep cleaning, the rooms have always been quite clean (but with a rusty handkerchief dispenser). The beds are the main plus, being very comfortable pillow-top mattresses. The micro means small, so my wife doesn't want to stay with me when we travel--two people may prefer a larger room. Comes with a microwave and mini-fridge, but no haridryers.

Room Tip: In this part of the southeast be sure to check out the red coupon books. You can find them at most...

They repaved the parking lot - nice job - which means your car will have a better place to spend the night than you will - this is a dump with a capital D, dirty, smelly, filthy halls you name it, if it's negative, this pace has it. Ugh. It's a blight on the whole Wyndham brand name.
