The Center has just undergone a much needed facelift. It is now a cheery, bright, clean, fun place for kids to explore science and art. My 9 year old daughter has visited the Planetarium and has a great experience every time. Saturday, we attended the Mad Scientist event had were absolutely amazed at the engaging hands-on activities and new technology on display. If you haven't been in a while, then you need to go back and check out the recent changes. (Although, my kiddos are too old for it now, I did love the renewed toddler area.)

Wow!! The newly reopened Discovery Center is amazing! My ten year old was enthralled and I appreciated the bright and inviting new space and all of the hands-on activities!

We were visiting Knoxville for a wedding and had a few hours to occupy the kids - age 11, 6 and 3. This place was perfect - small enough to not take up a lot of time, but fun, engaging, hands on activities. fun play area with legos and train table. Bonus was that the adults enjoyed it too!

We are members of our local science center, so through the Association of Science Centers, we were able to visit at no charge. I would have been really disappointed to have paid to visit this center. We loved the exhibits that we viewed, but really expected more from Knoxville. We saw everything in less than an hour.

A must see in Knoxville. They have done as good a job as any place in the nation. Wish that, like europe, they had a cafe to make more use of the spaces.
