“Nothing special”
Reviewed December 3, 2011

This is an OK place for pizza and beer, but not great. The pizza crust was nothing to write home about and the veggie pizza had too much veggies and not enough cheese or sauce. The ambience is just OK -- a fan on top of the refrigerator blowing into the bar area and non HDTV, non flat screen TVs playing some football game. The beer was cold and a nice selection, but again this place is nothing special. Won't go back.

“Disaster - No pizza, no plates, no clean tables, no salad dressing”
Reviewed September 26, 2011

That's right. Showed up for the lunch buffet, and it was a disaster. No fresh pizza on the buffet - just a few stray reject pieces. There were no clean plates because they were all still sitting on the vacated and uncleaned tables from previous diners. Just a disaster. When a new pizza WAS put up on the buffet there was a mad dash to grab a piece...of course you had to take your own dirty plate up to the line to GET the pizza. Went to get salad and they were all out of salad dressing...all of this and it was just around 12:45. The lunch hour was still going - at least every where ELSE it was still going. The best part about the Pizza Kitchen is its location, but the food is just mediocre - about like Gattis.

I think it's my last time at the Pizza Kitchen.

“Amazing Thin Crust Pizza!!”
Reviewed September 20, 2011

I’ve patronized the Pizza Kitchen for years and one thing has never changed. They consistently put out an amazing pie. Their wheat blend pizza dough is made in house daily. Their ingredients are absolutely top notch. I know for a fact that the Kalamatta Olives, Salami, and Artichoke Hearts are imported, and the meats are totally fresh. The grilled chicken is grilled daily (nothing frozen from a bag!), the Italian Sausage and Beef are spiced, blended, and cooked every single day, and the Salami is cut, deli style, every afternoon.

Do not overlook their sandwiches and their salads. They’ve taken a number of their pies and turned them into hot Panini’s. I’ve only ever had the Anti Pasta Panini, but it was amazing. Their salads are also quite large and very tasty. Again, veggies cut fresh every day. Their dressings are also made from scratch. Their Balsamic Vinaigrette is the best I’ve ever had. If you’re a mushroom fan at all, you must try their stuffed portabella mushroom app. They’re stuffed with a parmesan cheese and served with a pesto and sundried tomato balsamic sauce. Freakin awesome.

When a mom and pop pizza joint can stick around for 11 years, you know they’re doing something right. While you may pay a bit more for a pie at the PK, the money is well spent. You WILL get what you pay for, and enjoy every minute of it.

“What a joy -- GF pizza made to order!”
Reviewed August 18, 2011

I found this while researching Knoxville restaurants in preparation for a business trip. The staff was friendly and knowledgable about GF. I also spoke with the manager or owner (don't recall which), who was happy to answer all my questions. Pizza was awesome, too! How can I convince them to open a store in Reston?!
