This park is built on the grounds of the 1982 World's Fair. A broad center green is often used for outdoor concerts and such. A wonderful splash pad shoots great abundant streams of water into the air -- perfect for soaking every square inch of one's body. On downstream, in the shade of concrete structures and the sunsphere, one can relax by waterfalls in the man-made stream. Though the park is located within a very urban area, one can find peaceful relaxation among the water -- both still and living -- in this park.
There is also a nice playground with a couple of unique pieces of playground equipment. This would be an ideal place for families with young children to spend a few hours for fun -- all absolutely free.
The only downside is the parking. It's at the far end of the park, and one must walk a few hundred yards from the parking lot to the park. It's not too bad, but it may pose a small nuisance to those with very small children.
Restrooms were pretty convenient to the center of the park and seemed to be well maintained.
