“Great place for kids, pets, and a picnic”
Reviewed July 9, 2014

Feeling a need for stretching your legs and letting your dog run? Kids need a change of scenery? This is the place to see some great scenery and have a picnic. Fun things for the kids to play on, great walking/hiking paths, including a portion along the river, and it is pet friendly as long as they are on a leash.

“So Relaxing”
Reviewed June 10, 2014

We did not have time to walk very far but what we did see was beautiful. It was so quiet and calming. We really hope to return and allow more time to explore the trails. It is quite the find.

“An enjoyable day”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

Recently went back to Ijams Nature Center after many years and was amazed at how the place has expanded to include more trails for walking and biking. Much of the area borders the Tennessee River, and is quiet and beautiful. Spent the morning there and got exercise exploring the place, but found it relaxing, rather than tiring.
