Hotel was clean, quiet, had good hot and cold breakfast . Reasonable rates. Friendly staff. Had read bad reviews, but don't know why those people said that. I would certainly stay there again! When we are headed to a destination, we want a reasonable rate and decent place to stay. We felt safe as well, that is very important. There are inside hallways too.

Room Tip: No elevator, may want to ask for ground floor.

My dad and I stayed here on our trip to TN for my research trip to learn about the area since I will be moving from MA to TN. We wanted a cheap, but clean place to stay for 3 nights.

The Red Roof Inn East is not the bottom of the barrel or the cream of the crop, but was just fine for our needs. The room we had on the second floor was very clean and was cleaned well daily, breakfast was good and the attendant was very nice. The hotel does have an older, tired feel to it, but it suited our needs just fine. For a little over the $50 a night we were not expecting luxury but were pleasantly surprised with how well it worked out for us. It was quiet, even though we were facing the front and the highway. Beds were comfortable. Nice flat screen tv, room was large. nice hot water in the shower, wifi worked well and was fast. AC worked well.

It is a little difficult to get to since there are no signs right off the road. We relied on our GPS the first time.

I was traveling south and stopped in at the Red Roof Inn Knoxville East and found it to be a very pleasant experience. I had read the reviews and now question if these people reviewed this location by mistake. My room had a flat screen tv and the breakfast was far above an "average" continential breakfast. The room attendant was very pleasant and a good variety of food to choose from. My room ( standard king ) was spacious and comfortable. The desk staff was pleasant and helpful. The downside is that it is two floors and there is no elevator. This isn't an issue for me but thought it needed to be known. But over all it was a great stopping point and will stay here again if in the area.

Room Tip: If you have problems climbing steps ask for a downstairs room.

We found this property to be dirty, old furniture, many things needing repaired, inadequate lighting ....only one working light in the place. Made us feel that this could be a buggy place. I recall checking this out on the travel sites and ratings were high...must be bogus ratings. Would advise you to stay away from this motel, even though it's conveniently off the freeway.

The only good thing was a very pleasant and ready to please desk clerk. She was great!

This Red Roof Inn got the job done, it was a convenient place to spend the night on a road trip through TN and the prices were cheap. The place was quaint and felt small. We had some bad luck and happened to stay with a bunch of young families with children running around the hall, which was quite disruptive. But that might not be every night.

We booked this hotel in advance even though we knew that it was no longer the Country Inn and Suites that it used to be. We had stayed there years ago as it was close to family. Big mistake, it was dirty, the mirror was broken in two places and taped!! I was not happy but exhausted and stuck. No flat screen, rude morning staff, the side door to hotel would not lock at times, they said card reader down. So if you like sandpaper for towels, rude staff, poor security, and really dumpy
rooms....go ahead, we warned you

We stayed here on our way to Florida and on our way back. Chose this Inn due to tripadvisor comments and because it would allow us to bring our dog. The rates were good, the room very clean, check in and out extremely easy/efficient. Continental breakfast was available and was your basic. Room needed upgrading and appeared tired. Advertised flat screen TV's, but did not have it. For the price and ability to bring your pet, I would stay here again.
