“Great Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

We're regular visitors. The chef has an amazing talent. This most recent visit is no exception to the amazing service and great food we've known in the past.

We visited with some friends, and even on a busy Saturday night, our server was attentive and very gracious hostess. The food was meticulous -- the Ploughman's cheese board was excellent and the Shepherd's Pie and Crispy Chicken Carbonera were amazing (the chips were a bit soggy for our Fish, but it was a busy night). We'll definitely be returning!

(After so many trips, this was the first time we got a parking ticket for parking in the designated lot. We doubt we're alone in this, but it is something the management might want to check into.)

“Shepard's Pie!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013 via mobile

Went on valentines with my husband. 1st time there and even though we didnt have reservations on such a popular night out the hostess worked to quickly seat us. They had a special valentine menu but we ended up ordering from their normal menu. Try the shepard's pie and absolutely get the lamb chops with it. Divine. I couldn't stop eating! My husband had the fish and chips and he ate every bite. Some might feel the menu is on the pricey side but you get what you pay for here. Every cent was worth the fresh delicious flavors. Can't wait to go back!

“Like the unusual variety of fresh, very good food - Downtown Old City of Knoxville”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

Food is always good. Daily specials on blackboard. Cheese plates are a nice variety of Stilton and cheeses from Spain/France. Oysters, Fish/chips (a Monday night special weekly.) Shepherd's Pie, Bangers & Mash (English sausages) are delicious and cooked to perfection. Salads, desserts. Like the pub atmosphere. Excellent selection of beers. Outdoor beer garden.

“The Goose that Laid the Golden Egg”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

Great cuisine and wine list and the atmosphere is awesome. Wednesday and Saturday night live music from New Orleans style Jazz to Smooth Jazz with a light Rock flavor makes the overall experience a must do.

“Always a great evening here.....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

While Christmas time is my favorite time of the year to dine here -- amazing Christmas decorations!! -- it is such a great local restaurant. Super atmosphere, great drink selections and one day I am going to make it outside to their beer garden. Love the fish and chips. Have live music which is usually good but sometime is a bit loud -- especially if you are seated directly in front of the stage.
