I live nearby so it is a great place to walk for ones' health,,there is a Boundless Playground for all ages (the only one in a state park in TN), the campground is wonderful and so peaceful, my husband play's at the golf course(one of the better ones in the state park system). the lake is great for fishing,,kayaking,,water skiing and there is a large building for meetings(on Duck Island),,lots of picnic areas and large shelters for groups to have meetings.

“Best Park in the Region!”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

I live only 1/4 mile from this park, and still believe it is the best natural park I've ever visited, even though the state does a LOUSY job of maintaining it!! The island portion has picnic shelters, walking and biking trails, and tennis courts surrounded by a beautiful lake. The marina has a grill, and they rent out paddle boats and other water craft. There is a world-class playground for kids, and a challenging Frisbee golf course!

“Great place to walk your dog or just ....”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Although it is not what I consider clean and neat, it is a place you can go for a nice walk and not feel rushed.

“Attended reunion”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Very nice facilities on Duck Island for a large group. Plenty of parking was an added plus. Appears to be a very clean and well maintained state park.
