Description: Poblano's Mexican Grill and Bar has been family owned since its beginnings in 2004. Our family is steeped in restaurant tradition since 1977. The traditional food that we serve today is inspired by the Mexican food that was lovingly prepared in the home throughout childhood. Poblano's serves classic Mexican dishes along side new and interesting flavors. We offer warm and inviting service coupled with an eclectic atmosphere. While Mexican food may be our first priority, our margaritas and mixed drinks are distinctive, enticing, and well balanced. Buen Provecho!

“Tableside Guacamole is worth the trip!”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

7 of us went on a Sunday, were seated immediately. Got every kind of salsa they had on the bar and they were all great. Best thing we had, though... the tableside guacamole. Yes, it costs more. It is worth it. Trust me on this! They customize it to how how you like it, how much cilantro, etc. It is amazing. We had 3 people at the table who didn't like guac until they tried this. The order size is huge, and we ate every, single bite.
Chili rellenos were a hit, the posole was good, I got a chimichanga that was so huge I couldn't finish it. The burrito grande covered an entire plate. No one leaves hungry!!
Server was very nice, our drinks never go more than halfway empty. Food comes out quickly.
the only possible complaint would be the temperature in the bathrooms. I am pretty sure you could hang meat in there. It was so cold my toes were frozen in just the couple minutes I was in there. You definitely won't linger. LOL!

“Finally found a great margarita!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Retired here in 2012. Left behind great margaritas at Pablo's on Amelia Island, couldn't find one anywhere in Johnson City UNTIL we trired Poblano's. They do have the best one in the tri-city area and have good food, too. Have only been there twice but both times was enjoyable.

“Tasty food”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

We've been here 3 or 4 times. Used to come here a lot when it was a different Mexican restaurant (they had Taco Tuesday). Poblano's is way better than what used to be in there though. They have the best chile relleno I've ever had and my boyfriend loves their enchilada sauce. The salsa is good, and so is the bean dip they serve with chips...and the long island teas are delicious. We really like coming here. If we want Mexican food, this is the place.

“Fish-y tacos! Nowhere to go but up--”
Reviewed February 11, 2013 via mobile

What started out with a great salsa verde and chips quickly went south with the arrival of the "mahi-mahi" fish tacos!
First bite was kind of fishy, second bite was akin to a rotten fish smell! Weird red cabbage topping the taco also was so tough it was rubbery. Fishy "juice" accumulated on the plate as well.
Ate half of one of the two taco feast and pushed the second one back into the thin fishy brine on the plate. Waiter asked if food was ok and I asked him if he would like a bite? He laughed and sped away! Worst excuse for a fish taco anywhere, ever! Survived by quickly leaving and heading home for the Pepto! Not well that afternoon! Avoid the fish here, and just stick to chips and salsa. Or better idea is to try another eatery?

“Great fresh food”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

Happy Cooks kick out fresh, great, hot food. Large portions, not one of us finished our dinners. Salsa bar is great and there's a variety of Guacamole to select from. The Sangria is yummy!
