Very peaceful

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jun 18, 2023
A very peaceful place to stay. We parked our 45' class A and 20' trailer on a level spot with full hook ups overlooking the beautiful horses. Tim and Heather are super sweet people and very accommodating. Wishing you both all the best on your new adventure. 🙂

We went to True West to stay in the fun wagons. For the neat experience! Our kids liked to call the wagons the “Laura Ingalls Wilder Wagons!” It was a cool experience. They are surprisingly spacious! And you can’t beat that they are air conditioned. The bed was comfy! We slept so good after a long day of traveling. The bathrooms aren’t far and are very clean. The owners are super friendly and helped. We would highly recommend staying here.

Thank you! We are so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay in the Wagon! They sure are neat to stay in and enjoy some 'glamping' in style! We hope to have you and your family back soon :-)

This is an amazing place. The campground is clean, level spots and room to breath. The owners went way above and beyond for me. The trails are great the Cumberland trail head is 1 mile from camp. The stalls are bedded with sawdust and that is provided for you free. I will go back and stay again.

This was our first time at True West. Heather and Tim made us feel very welcome and are outstanding in customer service.
As soon as we arrived, Tim helped with unloading our hay and put in the barn, cleaning out the back of our trailer for us.
The barn, the campgrounds are all so well kept. The trail starts right across the street. They can also trailer our horses to other trailheads at no cost.
We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

This was our first time here and we'll definitely be back! True West is by far the nicest campground and horse camp we've been to! The campsites are level with nice grass (no mud holes or dust bowls), and the owners were a ton of fun! They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The horse barns are super nice, very clean with big stalls, and I loved that they even have wash bays for your horses (or dogs)! Great location with access to the trails right from camp. The shower houses were spotless and well stocked. They even had complimentary little soaps and shampoos in case you forgot to bring your own. We had one rain day during our stay so they made hot cocoa and fired up the wood stove for us on the enclosed patio and even brought in the corn hole boards! We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Great place to camp - with or without horses!

A fantastic stay at a fantastic place. We brought our camper trailer for a 4-day get away having never been at True West before. Loved the set up and watching the horses. The little store at the campsite came in handy for extra ice and things. Lovely folks managing the campground.

Room tip: Bring your binoculars and bird books. Be prepared to be relaxed.
