A great little slice of Americana, rockabilly debris and mementos in 2 rooms. A few truly unique items such as the defibrillator paddles used on Elvis Presley. Unsuccessfully. And your host, that's Charles Duncan, says he loves that there rockabilly, but when pressed for specifics confesses he prefers Conway Twitty, Charlie Pride. You can't make this stuff up.

The sweet old man who runs the HOF grew up in Jackson with Elvis and several of the other members of the rockabilly scene. He told us many fun anecdotes from their glory days and felt very genuinely dedicated to educating and entertaining us on the subject of rockabillly history. Great mural on the outside of the building features Sir Paul, large bronze guitar statue for fun photo opps. DJ Fontana's drum kit is on the premises and you'll get a chance to play a little run using his signed drumsticks! The collection accepts donations but there is no set charge. Well worth the hour or so spent.

Good place to take the family for a day out. We enjoyed learning about different intertanors, where their music came from and some of their life on the road.

We were travelling to Memphis as part of our three week stay in the States and found this museum totally by chance. My husband is a fan of Johnny Cash so we had to go to Jackson. We found the Rockabilly hall of fame on our Sat Nav. We were met by Henry who was so passionate about the museum and he was incredibly informative. He was also very patient answering all of our questions. We spent a lovely morning with Henry and we are so glad that we found him and the museum. A must for all rock a billy fans.
