We love to eat at the Old Country Store restaurant in Jackson, TN. They have the best breakfast in this area!!!
Lunch & dinner are also good. Service is excellent!

Got there late. Food hot on the buffet. Best collards, fried catfish, and chicken of our trip. Yams delicious, too. Always a stop when driving through Tennessee.

Brunch at the restaurant was pretty good, and the shop has a good range of local memorabilia and silly fun stuff. The other shops in the village are hilariously bad, you really have to see them! Casey Jones museum and house was interesting if you are a real rail buff, but otherwise i'm afraid it's not all that good. The train looks like it might be fascinating, but you can't go in the carriages and it's nothing like the train Casey Jones was driving anyway. Pre-teens might like it, but there's lots in cases with tons of labels, so they'd get bored quickly. My partner has family in Jackson who visit the restaurant regularly, so it must be good!

Our family was passing through Jackson TN. We'd heard of the village and restaurant. We would definitely recommend giving a try.

We called here en route from Memphis to Nashville as it was about half way and seemed an ideal place to break the journey. We didn't expect too much as we had read very mixed reviews. The museum was really interesting with lots of artefacts that belonged to Casey Jones and his family. They have dressed his actual house with period items which is wonderful to look at. You even get to go into the same type of train that he crashed in - although not the actual train as this had been scrapped in 1935!
After the museum we went and had a round of mini golf which was fantastic - there were varied water hazards etc which made it quite exciting! The guy that ran the mini golf was really helpful providing us with recommendations for our onward journey to Nashville then Chattanooga.

The museum was ok. Not that much to see. More shops than anything. The Casey Jones buffet was good with lots to choose from. Didn’t care for the corn cakes, but very good salad bar.

We had heard of this vacation/educational stop for a long time. We stopped there yesterday for the tour and the buffet meal. We were not disappointed! We were greeted with utmost courtesy from all the staff as they made you feel like they appreciated you visiting. The cost for the tour or food was not inflated but reasonable and well worth the cost. Everything was found to be clean and well maintained. This is a great educational experience for young and old...especially for children!
The buffet meal in the Old General Store was exactly as we had been told. It was wonderful and not the "run of the mill" description many restaurant sustain. We will be back for more of that great food when passing through Jackson!

A little vacation area all in one little "village", motel, food choices, activities, as well as learning about train history and other fun things. Great restaurant atmosphere, with awesome food selections or just a mid-day treat with an ice-cream parlor

If you are going through Jackson on the way to Memphis this small tourist attraction is worthy of a visit. Close to the main road so if you don't like what you see you can keep driving.

Casey Jones Village is a great place for a delicious home cooked buffet meal. They have a very large gift shop and an ice cream shop as well as several shops near the restaurant.
