My husband and I came up to kayak the Buffalo River and stayed 2 nights at the Days Inn. We were a little bit concerned after having read the less than stellar reviews of this establishment. However, in our quest for outdoor adventure over the past 20 or so years, we have become connoisseurs of fine no-tell motels across rural Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, Georgia etc. and figured we would survive. The staff was friendly and allowed us an early check-in. The room was spotless. The carpet appeared to be new as did the mattresses. We performed the hair dryer test for bed bugs and none were found. The air conditioning unit worked very well and there was a mini fridge that also worked well. The tv remote did not work but was replaced immediately. All in all, we had a very good experience with this motel and I am sincerely perplexed by the bad reviews. I can only ascertain that the authors of said reviews have limited experience with rural lodging. We will be staying at this motel on subsequent kayaking trips.
