The park is huge, and has quite a bit to do within it. We went on a pretty nice day (as people are apt to do on nice days) and it was extremely busy. That made it hard to truly enjoy the scenery, but it was still a nice place. I'd like to come back in the fall and do some hiking when it's a little less crowded.

Long Hunter State Park is a great park with something for most everyone. There are several loop hiking trails of roughly one to two miles and more day trails that are four or mo miles in length. Exertion is moderate for these trails. Mountain biking is available at Bryant Grove but the trail is relatively flat and rocky and probably not very challenging for advanced riders.

There are also multiple picnic sites to choose from in the park and wild life is everywhere. The park has many sink holes in the limestone but no caves to explore.

Fishing in Couchville Lake and Piercy Priest Lake are readily available as well.

Pets are restricted to only a few areas and they must remain on a leash.

Great state park with 2 mile trail around scenic lake. Great for walking or jogging, but no trail for bicycles. Especially good in spring and fall. Lots of wildlife sightings. Picnic area, playground and volleyball areas. Fishing and row boat rentals. Perfect for family outing.

We go here about once a week! We almost always see deer...which is a thrill for us! It has a nice playground too for the grandkids! Very peaceful place to take a walk. Hope to fish and picnic here soon. The park rangers are terrific when we ask for information!!!

I have attended the fall pow wow for several years at Long Hunter. Every year it grows and grows. There's always something new to see and hear. The park is clean, the parki staff are helpful. I'm keeping my eye open for other events to attend there.
