“Very good food”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

The food was very good....we had Shepherd's Pie and Dublin Pot Pie. Prices are reasonable and it has a nice pub atmosphere.

“Great food!”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here while visiting downtown Franklin. The fish and chips were tasty, and the stuffed baked potato was delicious. Even the salad was good.

“Irish?”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

This smallish restaurant in downtown historic and very cute Franklin has the requisite bare brick walls and some Irish kitsch decorating those walls. Most of the menu items looked pretty American to us, though there were a few nods to the cuisine of the Emerald Isle. It was dark inside, and very noisy. We could hear the malfunctioning of a machine in the back of the room, the shouting staff, the other diners, but only rarely the background music. Not a bad experience, but not worth a special trip, in our estimation.

“A little bit of Ireland in Tennessee”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

My husband and his father travelled through Franklin on their way to Murfreesboro and stopped at McCreary's for a bite to eat. The service was great and the food was wonderful. The ham sandwich was delicious, and they serve their Guinness with a shamrock design in the beer foam. A fun and memorable touch. It was an enjoyable experience and they would both highly recommend McCreary's.
