Description: Granite City Food & Brewery(R), a casual dining restaurant with an on-site brewery. Our initial restaurant commenced operations in St. Cloud, Minnesota, in June 1999. Our second restaurant, located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, commenced operations in December 2000, and our third restaurant opened to the public November 20, 2001 in Fargo, North Dakota. We now have 26 stores operating in 11 different states. At Granite City Food & Brewery(R), we serve signature beers, including Duke of Wellington (an English ale) and Broad Axe Stout (an authentic Irish beer), and entrees such as London broil. We offer a broad menu of items that are prepared fresh daily and are served in generous portions at reasonable prices. Our handcrafted beers are moderately priced and offer unique styles and flavors not typically produced by major breweries. Our founders, Mr. Wagenheim and Mr. Burdick, have over 52 years of combined hospitality industry experience. Mr. Wagenheim's experience includes that of corporate executive, owner/operator, manager and consultant for hotels, resorts, and individual and multi-unit restaurant operations. Mr. Burdick, a brewing chemist, has over 30 years experience in the restaurant, hospitality and brewing industry in both corporate and private positions. Fermentus Interruptus™Shortly before we opened our third store, we launched our patented brewing process, Fermentus Interruptus™, which makes micro brewing for multiple locations more efficient. This process, conceived and designed by Mr. Burdick, allows us to ship sweet liquid called wort, from our central brewing facility to individual stores. When this liquid reaches the stores, we begin the fermentation process and complete the brewing. We use Fermentus Interruptus at all of our Granite City Food & Brewery(R) locations.

My wife, dog and I stayed at the Drury Inn, attached to the restaurant. We noted the restaurant has covered, outdoor seating so we asked if they allowed dogs in this area. They do, so we were seated and since it was pretty hot, they quickly brought out some water for our dog, which she appreciated! We were there during happy hour so ordered a couple of drinks and the pork nachos. The nachos are only $5 during this time and were awesome! Overall, we were very satisfied with the experience. As a bonus, they deliver to the hotel if you want to eat in. A nice touch.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review. The only thing we love more than dogs, is Happy Hour so you had the best of both worlds during your visit with us. Next time you are in town and can make it in for a Sunday Brunch we highly suggest it. Its every Sunday from 9-2PM and its the best brunch you'll ever try!

My husband and I stopped in here on a Thursday evening shortly after 10pm. We were staying next door at the Drury Plaza on our way to Destin, FL. We understood that only bar food and drinks were available and were fine with that. However, it was quite obvious that our server Alexandra was NOT ok with us stopping in as we must have slowed down her cleaning and preparations for closing even though the bar had quite a few people still in it. She was not at all warm or pleasant when she came up to us and almost seemed put out to have to take our order. She did bring our drinks to us but I had to stop another server and ask for a straw for mine because she put the drinks down so quick and took off without asking if I needed a straw. A man from the kitchen brought our food out to us and no one brought us silverware even when we asked for it so we had to get up and go ask the bartender for utensils. Alexandra did manage to ask us if everything was ok as she darted by the table a couple times, but again.....serving us was most definitely not her top priority. We had the BBQ Pork Nachos, Asian Shrimp Tacos, Mango Margarita, and the beer of the month and all was very good, but the attitude from our server made us both want to exit the establishment as soon as possible instead of staying and enjoying another round of drinks. I can see where this place would be very popular and a great place to go to but after our experience I wouldn't rush to go back to it. Maybe she was just having an off night and really wanted to get out of there....but if I were a manager and saw my employee acting in that manner and attitude they probably wouldn't be one of my employees for long.

Hubby and I come here often and it’s always a great time! This trip we opted for appetizer & dessert with drinks but we’ve tried most everything there. The food is always tasty, and service is always up to par! You never have to wait for a drink refill. Def a great place to come hang out & get a good meal, watch a game, and have some drinks :)

Co-workers and I visited here for happy hour. The prices were great. We ordered wings and pizza. They both were very good. The server was very friendly and attentive. They offer free samples on the draft beers.

So glad you enjoyed our Happy Hour as much as we do. Have you been in for our brunch yet? If not, its a must! Every single Sunday from 9-2PM and we have bottomless mimosas that just take it over the top.
