“BEST Gnocchi!”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

During an extended visit to the Nashville area we ate at PortaVia four times and each experience was very good! Their Gnocchi is exceptional! We also LOVED their Black Sesame Seed Parmesan Ciclista (flatbread)!!! I would LOVE to have the recipe for this -- if you're listening, PortaVia...!!??!??? :-)

“Fabulous Italian Food in Franklin, Tn with Gluten Free Options”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

Looking for an outstanding Italian restaurant in or near Franklin, TN with gluten free options, you need to try Porta Via in Franklin.
The food choices are outstanding for gluten free people and those who can eat food with gluten.
Our server Mickey, (or as he told us the most handsome server in the restaurant) was knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly.
The food was plentiful, delicious, and served at the perfect temperature. Some of our selections were: pizza for the two grandchildren, lasagna, chicken parm, gluten free pasta with porta via sauce, greek salad, caprese, chicken panini, casarecci porta via, AND gelato. All I can say is that EVERYTHING was fabulous. And the wine selection was also great!
So, from Beverage through Dessert with outstanding service, Porta Via is the place to go!! ENJOY!

“What a disappointment”
Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

Having lived in Naples, Italy for a few years, we were told that this place was authentic. Maybe it was an off day but our pizza was anything but Neapolitan. The ingredients were not fresh, and the bottom of two of the four pizzas were burnt. The crust was thick and soggy.
The service was just okay as we had to flag the waitstaff down for refills. The wine list was extensive...on paper but when trying to order, we found that they were out of several.

“Authentic Italian”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

Porta Via is a comfortable, authentic Italian gem. Certified Neapolitan pizza. All the expected Italian standards and specialties. Peroni beer on tap. Nice wine list. Pleasant, personable serving staff. Nothing not to like.

“Delicious!”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

We went to Porta Via after Church on Sunday and everyone loved their meals. I ordered the gnocchi with cream sauce which was topped with a very good parmesean cheese. My husband had a pizza which was spiced very well and my mother in law had the salmon which she really liked. I've read the previous reviews and felt like we went to different places! Our waiter was very descriptive on his explaination of the dishes. Our glasses went empty for a bit once the crowd starting coming in. My suggestion would be for the restaurant to have better training for the server staff.
