“Great Burger Choices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

Stopped in for dinner last night and it was a nice surprise. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was great. Each of the four adults chose a different burger and each burger came out tasty and delicious. There were mixed reviews on the truffle fries. Some liked them and some did not. I don't know if it is a common practice, but our waiter brought out a small plate of fries and sliced apples for the 3 year old that was with us while we waited for our meals. I like that the restaurant supports local farmers. Another good restaurant in Franklin.

“I am sitting here now eating a burger”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2012

I ordered the lamb burger at the bar. It comes with unlimited fry's.
This is like a meal you would get at Burger King for $5. But it is gourmet. It has a sophisticated taste. And costs $13 plus tip.
There is a bar if that interests you. Wait was quite long, but it is quite busy here.
Busy is a good sighn. I'm off to the cinema over the road now....

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2012

We love coming here and now that we moved away from Nashville we always make a stop when we come into town. We have vegetarian friends that we bring here because of the gourmet vegi burgers are awesome. They have great options for kids too. Fries are great

“Great lunch with the team..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

We walked over from our office today.. They just installed a new menu for the fall. The bison burger is my favorite burger with the sweet potato fries. Service is always excellent and love the homemade ketchup. A little on the pricey side for a burger but the meat is all local and they have excellent cuts.

“Upscale Hamburger Bistro”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2012

Although there are different items on the menu, as the name suggests, the claim to fame for this restaurant is the hamburgers. Don’t get it confused though, Burger Up is definitely no burger joint. The appropriate term is upscale Hamburger Bistro.

Burger up is more like J Alexanders than 5 guys and Fries. The ambiance is stylish and upscale and the service is friendly and accommodating —just like you’d expect in a semi fancy restaurant. My date even felt inclined to have a glass of Chardonnay with her meal. When was the last time you had a glass of wine with your burger? Yeah, me either.

Burger Up prides themselves on purchasing “good meat” from “local farms that treat their animals well”. In other words free range beef, no hormones, and all of that good ole’ Whole Foods, hug a tree, organics. BUT just like the Organic products at Whole foods, you are going to pay a premium price for this luxury. The Burgers are regular sized and are served on a pretty plate. The only thing missing is a side of parsley as the food definitely has the good presentation feel AND is actually pretty good too. Burger up also advertises unlimited french fries (which are pretty good as well), but unless you have your Tennessee Titans appetite you’ll only make it through one order.

All in all, Burger Up does a great job of being exactly what it aims to be- an upscale hamburger restaurant. Despite the fancy lighting, great service, and organic meat, the downside is that you are still eating a hamburger. I personally can’t advocate paying $40+ for an all beef patty, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun. But hey- maybe you can.
