We visited Franklin between our backstage tour of the Opry and the evening show and thoroughly enjoyed it. It reminded us of the small towns on the eastern shore of Maryland that have survived. The weather was perfect as we strolled around the town. A new spice store had just opened and we roamed around smelling all the herbs and spices. The owner was especially attentive and helpful. Of course, we picked a few to bring home. This was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
