“So-So”

The Factory

Attraction details
Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: Built in 1929, The Factory occupies the buildings that once served as the Dortch Stove Works, Magic Chef and later the Jamison Bedding Company. A member of the National Register of Historic Places, The Factory is rich with history and a very careful renovation has preserved many of The Factory's original features and architectural details. Calvin bought the sprawling complex seven years ago and, after an environmental clean-up, began opening the facility in sections. Today, The Factory at Franklin has 83 tenants. Imagine that factory coming alive with concerts, dining, shopping, meetings, live theatre, art galleries, decorators' showcases, antiques and offices. Our unique facility can serve all this and more. Take a look at The Factory in its days as a bustling, working factory, then embark on a photographic tour of its renovation and transformation to the diverse and vibrant shopping and entertainment complex it is today.

“So-So”

It had a couple yummy restaurants and a cool antique store, but rather than that, most of the stores are hokey and cheap.

Visited this unique old building complex which is refurbished as a mall. Very interesting shops and fun. Don't miss the giant rocking chair.

“Quaint Little Over Priced Boutique Mall”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

Here is a Boutique Mall where you can find many over proced items but all made by local people. Here you can find Local Franklin Honey, a desk from Franklin wood, a very cute baby store with hand made items. $65 for a beanie, $125 for a dress (sz 6 months)
Nice Place to walk around and have boutique-style coffee (if you know what I mean) :)

“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2012

The Factory is a wonderful attraction in Franklin, Tennessee. We attended The American girl fashion show in liberty hall early Saturday morning. There are wonderful shops, antiques and a farmer's market. The setting is beautiful and we enjoyed the variety of goods offered at the farmer's market. We are definitely going back to try the restaurants in the near future.

“Franklin Farmers Market”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2012

I LOVED visiting The Factory. I spent all of Saturday morning there and it was great. The farmers market had everything that I could have wanted. They also have AMAZING food. Everyone should go, even if you have to drive 30-45 minutes like me!
