We were in Franklin, TN to visit the Nashville LDS Temple and wanted a quick, but not fast-food, lunch before our long drive home. The Bombay Bistro is only ten minutes' drive from the LDS Temple. My only complaint is that there is not a lot of parking because it's part of an upscale mixed-use (commercial/strip mall) building, but we didn't have to walk too far from our car.

The decor is stunning and everything was very clean. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated right away. Our waiter was attentive without being overly annoying (as some can be). We were in a hurry so we had the lunch buffet, and everything we sampled was marvelous! My husband and I tend to like spicy food and the food here definitely fit that bill. There were the usual Indian buffet items - tandoori chicken, tikka masala, naan, rice - but a few less common dishes that were very tasty.

The best part - and I don't know HOW they do this except that maybe it's because the buffet is behind a low wall - when we left, our clothes and hair did not smell like B.O. Usually that's the trade off with Indian food - it tastes great but you stink like B.O. afterwards. Not from Bombay Bistro! We will definitely visit again next time we travel to Nashville.

You don’t have to be traveling to use TripAdvisor! The food at Bombay Bistro may be the best India food we have every had. Nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. Can’t wait to try other dishes.

This has some of the best Indian food we've found in Nashville with a lovely environment. We like spicy and they prepare it perfectly every single time. We are regulars and have only had slow service the first week they opened since it was very crowded.

Went on a date night with my wife to try and venture out from typical fare. We tried a couple of appetizers in which the owners or managers of the restaurant assisted us with.. I thought it was a nice touch.. The food was good but not something I could have maybe once or twice a year.

Wonderful food and a nice romantic atmosphere. They also have a great lunch buffet. The waitstaff is polite and helpful if you are new to Indian food like us.
