We were in Franklin, TN to visit the Nashville LDS Temple and wanted a quick, but not fast-food, lunch before our long drive home. The Bombay Bistro is only ten minutes' drive from the LDS Temple. My only complaint is that there is not a lot of parking because it's part of an upscale mixed-use (commercial/strip mall) building, but we didn't have to walk too far from our car.
The decor is stunning and everything was very clean. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated right away. Our waiter was attentive without being overly annoying (as some can be). We were in a hurry so we had the lunch buffet, and everything we sampled was marvelous! My husband and I tend to like spicy food and the food here definitely fit that bill. There were the usual Indian buffet items - tandoori chicken, tikka masala, naan, rice - but a few less common dishes that were very tasty.
The best part - and I don't know HOW they do this except that maybe it's because the buffet is behind a low wall - when we left, our clothes and hair did not smell like B.O. Usually that's the trade off with Indian food - it tastes great but you stink like B.O. afterwards. Not from Bombay Bistro! We will definitely visit again next time we travel to Nashville.
