We were driving to Jekyll Island and stopped in East Ridge for the night. The hotel suggested a few different restaurants and Portofino's was the first one we found. Was this our lucky day! My husband had the seafood canniloni and I had mine stuffed chicken/spinich. They were HUGE portions plus they came with piping hot bread sticks. Wine was only $4 - $5 a glass. Service was fast and very friendly. We also stopped here on our return home. Not because of the hotel but for this restaurant. On this stop we added the chicken soup which is a thick creme with lots of chiicken and just delicious. Again we couldn't eat everything so the waitress happily packaged the leftover for us and gave us extra bread sticks. In fact, she asked if we minded her filling up the soup containers for us! Wow. We also bought a bottle of their seasoned olive oil which is the same as they served for dipping the bread sticks.
We ate here on Feb 25 and Mar 3, 2013. Service and food was outstanding both times. Plenty of free parking and right off the interstate. I look forward to our next trip to Georgia so we can eat here again.
