Fast seating, excellent service. We love their salads because they come out so cold and fresh. There is a great atmosphere, the owner Neil will greet you, tell you what's special today.Great local green fried tomatoes, and I don't really like tomatoes!! Brisket is the best I have ever had. Homemade fried pies may happen when you are there. Chicken Monterey, Shrimp and grits, great sandwiches and salads topped with the meat of your choice. Good value for dollar, excellent food.

Some of the best barbecue in town. The brisket is out of this world. The green tomato BLT is a must try, as well as the other sandwich on the menu. The staff are courteous and attentive and always make you feel welcome.

As two couples here on a Friday night three of us had good pulled pork or loaded potatoes. An offering by our waitress of a "Special Tonight" was prime rib --but we failed to ask what is the "Market Price." Compared to the place's menu it was ridiculously high. Our bill was $77 with no drinks.

Shame goes both ways. The intent of management on this was obvious and foolishly this is partly my fault. But I'll never accept a place with a trap like that, We are experienced travelers; Never again.

We try to visit locally-owned restaurants when traveling, and Neil's did not disappoint. It's in the shopping area behind Wal-Mart. We ordered a smoked turkey plate and a pork sandwich for takeout. Both were very good. The huge pork sandwich was made with a heavy white bread instead of a plain hamburger bun, which was a nice surprise. The sides--fries, baked beans, and potato salad--were good too. It was well packaged, and condiments were included. The menu has quite a few options for a BBQ place, and I hope we'll have the opportunity to eat there again.
