“real good seafood”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

Stopped here on a Friday night got real good seafood! had combination platter with clams, oysters and catfish all for 14.95 and had all I could eat! it is a out of the wat restaurant but well worth going to, nice and clean and real good service with being full of customers. This place is a lot better than Joes crab shack in Pigieon forge, better prices and better food. Will be back in Dec when we go down there for Christmas!!!

“Great seafood on the I-40 bypass”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

The bridge spanning Douglas Lake on I-40 has one lane open in each direction. If you take Highway 25/70 as a bypass to avoid the long waits, you come across Captain Bob’s Seafood and Steaks. We stopped yesterday after hours in a doctor’s office in Knoxville. What a great place! The whitefish, shrimp and oysters can be ordered fried, grilled or broiled. We had fried shrimp and fried oysters. Excellent! They were hand dipped in a very light batter and fried at the perfect temperature. The coating was crisp and not greasy at all. The hush puppies, though overcooked, had a wonderful flavor. All of the desserts are homemade. This evening, they included bread pudding with a light cream sauce, and coconut, chocolate, key lime pies and cheesecake. I was told that they are made fresh daily. The bread pudding was delicious! The Friday night prime rib special was highly recommended. We’ll try that next!
