Portion sizes were great but the bbq was quite dry and the sides were quite buttery or greasey. Service ok, staff was nice, atmosphere was ok but, again, food was just ok.

We used to eat Big Boy's meals often before we changed our diet. Their loaded baked potato is totally impressive: Really enough for two people. The other meals are pretty standard barbeque fare, but you have your choice of sauces and they also usually have something interesting for dessert if you happen to have room for it. Their pulled pork, ribs and pulled chicken are all excellent and you can buy those items by the pound for take out also.

Service is always top-notch. Restaurant is clean & lots of really cool artifacts to look at while you're waiting. Their smoked meat is just delicious and both their sauces are great ... the hot has good heat but not too hot & the mild isn't too sweet. Try the BBQ stuff potato! They also have excellent catfish on Friday nights and if you have room you have to try their banana pudding and if you don't have room you can get it to go!

My husband and I were staying at Fairfield Glade Resort during a previous vacation and decided on a whim to stop at this restaurant on the way back from Crossville one evening. We are sure glad that we did. We have made it a point to stop here at least once on every vacation here since.

This is a family run business and it is not open late at night (closes 7:30 or 8:00 pm) so be sure to get there early enough to enjoy. A large part of the business is take-out so the restaurant does not have much seating inside. It's decor is very simple but very interesting as the place is decorated with license plates from all over. There is lots of other memorabilia including quite a few things that are related to planes --- even an old wooden propeller.

The food tastes great and the portion sizes are large. We have had the ribs but our favourite by far is the big baked potato with either pulled chicken or pulled pork. Unbelievable and quite a meal !!! The prices are excellent. The two of us ate, including soft drinks and tip, for less than $20.

Don't miss eating at this restaurant or at the very least, order some of their take-out so you can still enjoy the food.

We've been coming to this area for years and every visit includes several trips to Big Boys during the week. Love the pulled pork and if you come on days they have ribs, you gotta go for it! Owners are very friendly & want you to sign the " guest" book when you come in. It's rare to come by and not find the place full of smiling locals and "foreigners". Decor reflects someone is a dedicated collector of all things to do with planes. And be sure to find your state's old licence plate. Oh! While eating, plat trivial pursuit cards on each table. Good food, good fun.
