“Great catfish! Not cheap.”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

Overall, I am rating this restaurant as average. But if you're in it for good catfish, you will be pleased.

Tried the fried and the cajun catfish. Both were excellent. Well cooked, juicy, spicy. The fillets were quite big. The 2 piece dinner was only $2-3 cheaper than all-you-can-eat. So I got all-you-can-eat. Didn't need it. Was very full from the first 2 pieces and sides. Did I have a third piece? I am ashamed to tell you I did. Expensive for a Crossville lunch, but the catfish was truly exceptional.

There are lots of southern sides to choose from. Tried the fried green tomatoes, which were a bit bland, but a little salt helped.

The dining room was clean but otherwise unremarkable.

If you want good catfish and are willing to pay for it, try the Catfish Cabin.

This has to be one of the worst places I have ever eaten at! The place was not even busy the waitress even pointed that out to us when we were seated. She was wondering where everyone was at! From there on she must have taken a break because she was for the most part not waiting on us or the other customer.( since. There was only one or two other tables seated) there was plenty of staff just standing around. The place was dirty the windows were filthy and the place had only been open for a couple of months did they get washed prior to opening? Scary as this building was a dog kennel and groomer before a cat fish cabin! Walls were and ceiling were we're hanging open with installation hanging. As for the food terrible value cat fish was less than average in taste. Side salad was a joke, there were more lettuce and tomato on the side of my burger which in it's self was an awful value seriously the burgers are bigger at McDonald's the waitress came back three times without the mayo I asked for. I am still waiting for it. Ended up using the tarter sauce from the fish plate. Will not ever go back or recommend this place. Can't believe that there are people that return here. Must have low standards for the food they buy at premium prices. Much better eateries in town do yourself a favor find one of those.

“Loved the greens”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

Stopped here mid-September to try the catfish. It was pan fried, ightly coated and very tasty. I felt like trying the greens and glad I did. They were sweet and best I've ever eaten; will have to try to duplicate the taste. My corn sticks were overcooked so go with the hush puppies-hubby said they were just right! Noted that they do have a ramp for additional access now but it could have been in a better place for wheelchairs and door entrance was a step up. They do need to add rails for the steps as well. Food was good, now work on making the place easier to get in and out!

“Drive on by....”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

Food was plentyfull, but everything is deep fried. Some of it so over cooked it beyond eating. Items missing from our order. No idea how to handle food allergies. So much corn meal in the deep fryer it clings to everything. Rudementary decor and setup. One waitress had been fired that day so wait staff was very busy. They where freindly and pleasant but run off their feet.
