I've stayed in several cabins in the Smokey Mountains. This cabin was nice but here are some pros and cons. The indoor pool is one of the larger ones I've seen. Great for the kids in the evenings. Ample parking. Close enough to Gatlinburg but still secluded enough. The theater room was nice but had different seats from the picture. They were not the comfy looking ones in pictures. Some of the Cons- The Master bedroom on the main floor shares the main bathroom that is connected to the kitchen. If you are coming here with a large family this is very inconvenient. The bathrooms were small with nowhere to hang towels and place toiletries. The Kitchen had very few pots and pans. lighting was very poor in the kitchen as well. The ceiling Fan in upstairs King bedroom was very noisy. There were no side tables in the living room to place drinks on or anything. Cable TV's in bedrooms did not seem to work. No hangers in closets. Not one chair on the decks to enjoy the scenery. Broken beer bottles around fire pit area. The on line photos show two queen beds next to one another upstairs but they are actually put together as bunk beds. Only one outlet in this room. Not convenient if you're putting adults in this room. Pictures also show a pool table but there was none. There was air hockey instead. There were no screens on the windows so you couldn't open them for fresh air. This was just a basic cabin with the bare necessities. Photos need to be updated on Elk Spring Resort's website. Photos were not accurate.
