This hotel is very clean, modern and welcoming. Great location, would definitely stay again. The outside fire pit area was fabulous. Staff attentive and eager to accommodate our needs. Breakfast buffet was good quality food for the price paid.

We tried to use the pool during our stay. it was out and we were told they were cleaning it. That night came and pool was still out. We asked when it would be ready to use and they told us the next morning. The next morning came and still wasnt open. Asked again about the pool and they told us they were working on it. Saw someone in there so okay they were. Later that day asked again and they said they were still working on it and no one was in the pool area "working on it" during the rest of the day. Finally was told we could go to Hampton Inn to swim. Also ice maker on 5th floor was out. Told hotel front desk staff and they said we know but didnt say anything about fixing it or act like they cared to fix it.

This HGI property is set back in a large commercial/retail area that offers a lot of shopping and dining options. Access is easy - all you need to do is look for the giant IKEA sign across the street. Although there is parking in front of the hotel, the spaces are small/tight, so if you have a larger vehicle you might want to park around in the back.
We checked in on June 1st and the young lady on the front desk could not have been more welcoming - she was a joy to work with and set the tone for our stay. The hotel itself appears newer or recently refurbished. All common areas and the rooms themselves seem to have new carpeting. The place looked fresh and well-maintained. The hotel had all of the usual HGI features on the main floor (restaurant, laundry, business center, pool, fitness area, etc).
Our rooms were on the top (5th) floor. Throughout our stay there was no noise whether internal or external. The rooms are standard HGI with a fridge, microwave, K-cup machine, and a large flat panel TV with streaming capability. Our rooms also had walk in shower enclosures, which we much prefer over tub/shower combos. Water flow was good and temperature was easy to control.
Although the HVAC system maintained the temperature well enough, fan output was anemic. A pleasant surprise was internet (wifi) connectivity. Download/upload speeds were very, very good
Bedding was a spotless duvet. Pillows were a bit mushy. Sleep comfort was good.
Overall, this HGI delivered a good experience, enhanced by the great front desk welcome and hospitality. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this HGI.

Room tip: Try for a room on the 5th floor facing the rear parking area (less light in the morning)

I will start by saying my husband said he would give this a four-star review. I, on the other hand, was very disappointed and expected better from a Hilton product. Upon checkin, we were given the option to pre-purchase cooked-to-order breakfast the following day for $7.95 each. When we arrived at the breakfast, it was difficult to tell if we were to seat ourselves or how it worked. We proceeded to find a table and were promptly stopped and instructed that they would seat us. Oops! So... the hostess appeared and was unable to find our names on the "list" at first, as the names had been handwritten in separately. We were seated and I read the card at the table, which indicated we were to go up and place orders for the cooked-to-order breakfast. When I did that, the cook instructed me that the server would take my order at the table (he was very nice about it, and we both had a good laugh). Oops again. Communication would help! The server then arrived at the table and took our orders. The breakfast was good. BUT... we discovered that our credit card was charged $9.95 each rather than $7.95 as quoted. Thought we may have misunderstood until another hotel guest told us the following day the same happened to them. There was a repeat mixup with breakfast reservations and price again the next day, but they did not charge for my breakfast. We asked and were told something about me only having the continental breakfast? Huh? We were not given any options. We did not request either be corrected, as whenever we stopped at the front desk to reserve a spot for breakfast (which didn't get put into the reservations properly either day anyway), it took at least ten minutes for them to try to enter it on the computer (new system maybe?). On to the room review: it was small but nice... except the shower. The shower door only opened on one side, on the left, and you had to lean across it to the right side rear--directly into the spray of cold water--to turn it on. There was a small, single soap shelf in the back corner that was about a foot from the floor. Ridiculously poor set up!
Personally, I will not return unless there is nowhere else available. Unimpressed, at best.

Hi travelers, tho this will sound like a broken record...I must give another “high 5 ” to the staff at HGI Wolfchase.

The staff is what makes this hotel a “must stay” if u plan to visit metro-Memphis.

They, Bianca / Ms Cassandra / Edgar / Chef Demond & Victoria, have such a good vibe that echoes thru out the team. Food is very satisfying.

Owners, be careful that u don’t inflate the rate beyond value!
