The Butcher Shop was hopping yesterday will loads of people lining up for Burger Friday. I heard it was great and now I can say it is! This is an affordable lunch with delicious grilled burgers or chicken. Chips come with lunch for free, but there are baskets of fries and other tasty add-ons for a few cents more. They have whole wheat and traditional white buns. The service is super quick with 3 buffet style fixings stations. You basically get your plate, your toppings, walk up to the grill and they put a hot-off-the-grill burger on your plate. They have meeting rooms for groups as well as upscale decor for nice quiet dinners. We took a large group of employees for lunch with one day's notice. They seated us together and the service was excellent. They also allowed us to store our cake in their fridge until it was time to serve it. I highly recommend them for lunch on Fridays if you are close by. They are located next to the Agricenter on Germantown Parkway.

You get a very good steak for your money at the Butcher Shop. They aren't as expensive as Fleming's and Mesquite Chop House or Folk's Folly and Ruth's Chris. Also they are local with more than 1 location in Memphis for your convenience. Don't go here often because of the prices, but when family visits or local family members want to get together for a superior steak, this is one of the places we go.

I have eaten there twice and each time the food has been outstanding. It is above average in price when it comes to steak houses, but totally worth it for an anniversary or birthday.

Nice idea, however, ceiling tiles have been impacted by HVAC condensation and or roof leaks, thus track is rusting, stains and possible mold growth.

Had their large porterhouse, ordered it medium rare. I received a T - Bone, rare. Salad was supposedly dressed with blue cheese dressing. Guaranteed it is "home" made as it was like a milk dressing with some type of cheese chunks in it. Had no flavor of blue cheese.

Service was suitable for sitting at a high top, prices were too high.

We went here two consecutive nights because it's that good. I had the t-bone which was more like a porterhouse, you could cut it with a fork. Excellent flavor. Wife had the ribeye one night which was also excellent, and grilled pork chops another night. Everything is top-notch at this location and we will be back next time in town.
