Christy's is one of those places in Cookeville that apparently is a secret among the locals. It's locally owned and operated and is hidden among all the chain restaurants in the area.
I went for breakfast and was not disappointed. The restaurant is quite large with options of dining in or carry-out. The menu is very expansive and covers everything from breakfast, lunch and supper.
You seat yourself and you will be greeted by a cheerful and friendly wait staff. I ordered the omelet with ham, bacon and sausage. I also ordered hash browns and wheat toast. My plate of food arrived in about 5 minutes and you could tell it was freshly prepared. A huge omelet with crispy hot hash browns. The wheat toast was obviously baked on the premises, nutty and crunchy.
A great find and so much better than the chains down the road. Perfect for kids too.
Highly recommend it. No website yet, but you can find Christy's on Facebook.
