This is a great place for hometown history lovers. They always are presenting something different and only take donations. It really pays off to keep this facility going for future Cookevillians. Facility is always clean and decorated to the primitive era.

Cookeville has a beautiful park and have lots of events going on during the year, Dogwood park is one of the best things that Cookeville has added to our Town. Besides the park Cookeville History Museum is a great place to go in and brush up on the history of Cookeville, Tennessee Tech, the old post office, the Veterans History and the Way Cookeville has changed in all the years.

Wife and I visited here on a bad-weather day. The volunteer was very helpful. In fact, we happened to be the only ones in the museum at the time, so we got pretty much a dedicated guided tour. It's arranged by time period, from ancient times through modern day. Lots of pieces to look at, and many old photographs. Admission is free!

What a delightful local museum. It is small but very well done. The staff was more than willing to share their knowledge.

Very small museum but packed with interesting things. Won't take too long to go through. It is a small town museum with local flavor. Don't expect anything remotely comparing to the big city. The little kids were bored.
