The food here is uniformly great classic Southern meat-and-three fare. The menu is nothing fancy, but it is very well prepared and quite tasty.
The atmosphere is the kind of old school place where you find ladies meeting for lunch and local downtown office workers. It's not loud and one of a couple of places in downtown Columbia (the other being the Square Market) that is conducive for meetings.
The waitress are clearly proud of their menu ... and they should be .... from their standard entrees, to the deserts (the menu is loaded with them), down to the excellent ice tea. It's very reasonable priced, too. For lunch ... the buffet is the way to go. It's all good.
