“Nice place to take out of town visitors”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

Haven't been to the Silver Caboose in several years but the food is still good. It's a noisy atmosphere so hard to hear. The menu tends toward tea room food but still has plenty of food for the guys. Daily specials are usually hearty and good. Crème brulee is one of the best. I love tomato aspic and egg/olive sandwiches and the Caboose has some of the best I've had anywhere. A good place to take visitors since you can shop on the Square without driving anywhere.

“Good Food on the Square”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

I enjoy coming to the Silver Caboose for lunch. My daughter and I have eaten here several times. The menu is just the thing for a girls' day out with finger sandwich type selections. There are also plenty of Southern comfort foods. There is a take out section, too. Everything is homemade. The atmosphere also makes this a one of a kind experience. Leave room for dessert, or be sure and take something home for later.

“Meat and Three”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

We have eaten at the Silver Caboose serveral times in the last few weeks and have been pleased with the quality of the food, table service, and atmosphere. The whole experience makes you feel that you are in a small rural town instead of suburban Memphis.

Their strength is their meal and vegtable meals. Unlike many restaurants of this type around town, their vegtables taste fresh and aren't overcooked. Wait staff are all friendly outgoing types making you feel welcome, almost like home.

The restaurant is located on the Collierville Square with many small shops worth visiting.

“Great Lunch”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

My wife and I visited the Collierville Historic Town Square on November 17 and took time out for lunch at the Silver Caboose Restaurant. We had almost no wait being seated and were immediately met by our waitress. The food, as others have previously stated, was outstanding and I highly recommed their plate lunch with two vegetables. Be sure to save room for desert. They have a wide assortment of homemade pies that are quite delicoius.

“This is real Southern cooking!”
Reviewed September 21, 2012 via mobile

The Silver Caboose has it all! Family owned, sitting on a picturesque small town square, fabulous Southern food. For years entire families have come here for Sunday lunch. The chicken and dressing is just like Thanksgiving at grammaws house. And how many restaurants still serve aspic? Can't get more white-gloved, old South than that! Long time waitresses and hostesses take great care of you and you can watch the real running model train circle the ceiling above your head. After lunch, stroll the square lined with quaint shops with antiques, clothes, western boots...you name it! Just be sure you go!
