The lady at the registration desk gave us a key card to a room that was already occupied. Imagine our surprise when I opened the door to find people inside!! Got a new key card for a room on the other end of the motel where it seemed quieter but it smelled of cigarette smoke and it was supposed to be a non-smoking room so we sprayed it with Lysol and told the lady at the front desk so we wouldn't get charged for smoking when we don't smoke! The bed sheets and towels were clean but the carpet had some sort of grease stains everywhere. The bathroom was not all that clean either but at least the drains and faucets worked. The trains go by half the night and blast their horns which kept us awake as well as a family a few doors down playing video games starting at 4:00 a.m. so the walls must not be sound-proofed very well. The breakfast was ok...cereal, toast, muffins, rolls, juice & coffee. We were very disappointed in this motel because we have stayed at other Days Inn in other cities and they always seemed a lot nicer and well-maintained. I think someone of authority from Days Inn needs to come to this motel and inspect it and make some changes and upgrades. It is definitely not worth the money we paid to stay there, sorry to say. Will stay at another motel when we come back to Collierville to visit our family.

We recently stayed in this hotel with a group attending a sporting event. The first room our family was given had a smoke detector that was chirping, in need of a fresh battery. When we inquired at the front desk about the battery, we were told we would need to move to another room. Both the rooms we were in were dirty. There was dirt and hair on the floors, both on the carpeted areas and the tile floors. The pool was in a state of disrepair and one child in our group sustained a cut to his foot that required an emergency room visit. Additionally, the air conditioning unit was extremely noisy and I was awakened each time it cycled on. We were also awakenened by the local train, which is certainly not the fault of the hotel, but the room was not well insulated. We could see daylight coming in around the entry door. I would not recommend this hotel. Front desk staff was pleasant, but clearly no one cares about the safety or cleanliness of this property.

We met to stay at the Hampton Inn however were completely turned around. Place was run down, no internet service; room wasn't clean; asked to have it cleaned a 2nd night since we didn't want to relocate. Lady at front desk most pleasant. No ice.

Terrible does not even began to describle how bad this hotel really is. We arrived to bloody bed sheets and when we reported this to the desk we were told to come and get the sheet and change them ourselves. The room also had an overwhelming pet odor. The ceiling was covered in cob webs, and appeared not to have been cleaned in quite a while. The bathroom was a disaster all its own. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I was charged $98 per night for a zero star MOTEL. The wall paper and ceiling paint were peeling off. The bathroom tiles were falling out of the wall. The bathroom door would not close properly. There were USED towels in the bathroom. There was no soap.Ther bathtub was dirty. We waited 20 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk to check us in between 3:10 and 3:30 PM. When we finally got some towels...the NEXT DAY, they were still wet from not being dried completely. The ice maker did not work. The so-called continental breakfast was not restocked and was empty an hour before it was supposed to be over. They woke us up at 7AM to tell us that if we did not get our room serviced now it would not get done. If I had not already pre-paid through Orbitz, I would not have stayed there. We subsequently got a room 1 mile away for $10 a night less and it was GREAT...stay at the Fairfield Inns & Suites right down the road; you will have a much better experience.

Plantation Inn in Collierville, TN was, until recently, in the Comfort Inn chain. They are now changing chains. All I can say is this motel needs work like paint, plumbing, carpeting. If it hadn't been so late and we were so tired we would have moved on. The owners are very nice people and I wish them the best.
