We needed a base for a couple of nights while my son was attending a course at the nearby Kingswood Colomendy. We booked the family flat and other than knowing it had two bedrooms, we didn't really know what to expect.
We arrived much earlier than check-in time because we had to drop my son off earlier - but as soon as the young lady who was working that day realised who we were, she was more than happy to check us in early. She showed us to the flat and was very helpful in answering all our questions.
The flat itself consisted of a long hallway with tea/coffee making facilities, a large twin room and smaller (but not too small) single room. The decor was a little old-fashioned, but it was clean and comfortable and we all slept well. The flat has a large family bathroom that was very clean and well furnished - the shower was great and there was a large bath that we also made use of! Plenty of fresh clean towels too.
There was a resonable choice for breakfast and we particulary liked the fresh fruit that was given to us each morning. The evening meals were fabulous - every dish that we tried was delicious but the steak was particularly good. Even though food service was supposed to finish at a set time, Jim was more than happy to cook for my son when he returned from Kingswood later.
I could say much more but it's probably covered in other reviews, so to sum up - lovely atmosphere, delicious evening meals, comfortable accomodation, friendly staff, free parking, free wifi... Oh and did I mention how fab the steak is?!?
