Description: Jenkins Restaurant and Deli has been family owned and operated since March 15, 1976, serving many generations over the past 39 years. Recognized in National Geographic, Southern Living, Guns and Gardens, Tennessee Tourism website, and many local and regional publications. Known for our outstanding cuisine, long standing excellent service, warm hospitality, and community involvement. The all-time favorites are still on the menu; Jenkins' famous chicken salad, French dip, buffalo burger, and specialty soups and market items. New to the menu is a much-requested large fresh salad bar that has something for everyone. Our new location has a fun family atmosphere featuring a large model 'G' gauge train circling the dinning, a two sided fireplace with covered patio, and tons of local memorabilia tucked into every corner. Ask about our party room that seats up to 40 people, perfect for business or club meetings, wedding or baby showers, birthday parties or a social gathering.

Went there on Valentines Day and had a wonderful meal. Jalapeño bottle caps as an appetizer was really good. I had the Deli burger & onion rings and my wife had the buffalo hamburger steak with fries. Nice new larger building in the Spring Creek development.

Jenkins is a locally owned restaurant. They are famous for their chicken salad, which you can get on Texas toast as a sandwich or as part of a salad plate. Their new location is well decorated and features murals depicting local and area events. They have an outdoor dining area that will be nice on warm days. The new location features a full bar as well as a salad bar, which as of this writing you can add as an additional "side" dish for only $2. Other recommended items: French Dip sandwich, Kobe hamburger steak, and any of their thick, delicious soups.

Visited the old location twice and had great food and great service both times. Will definitely return again!! My only negative comment would be change the bread on the French dip it gets a weird spongy texture when dipped...

We reserved the party room for a gathering of old high school buddies. The new location is definitely larger than the old. They added a salad bar, but that was not why we came. I remembered the delicious sandwiches from the old location. Apparently they did not make it to the new location. The menu was definitely expanded. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. It was dry and tasteless. Because we had a large party, the gratuity was automatically added to our checks. For the waitress' sake, that was probably a good thing. The service was not up to the percentage gratuity that was added.

The old Jenkins' location on Mouse Creek Rd. is now history. This brand new restaurant was opened in November and is somewhat larger than the old place and makes it easier to get a table during busy service times.

We made our first visit just a couple of days ago and, overall, enjoyed the experience. Obviously, the new place is bright and open as compared to the old location. We loved the open windows into the kitchen and thought that really added to the atmosphere. Also, the enlarged space allowed the addition of a nice salad bar, which we tried and enjoyed.

The new menu is expanded with several new entrees and more steaks. The prices, as expected, are also revised upward. Our evening meal was nice (sandwiches and salads) and was up to the Jenkins' standards.

Since this was our first visit, it's hard to make any definitive judgments about the overall quality and service but, on this trip we were generally pleased with the new surroundings. Food and service were as expected and we'll be back to see how the place is settling in.
