Description: La Casa Taquería opened in 2012. The brainchild of Guadalajara native Juan, this Taquería made his dream of bringing the authentic, homemade food he so missed from home to Clarksville a reality. We have since added a rockin' taco truck, a stellar staff, and been selling out of our made-from-scratch menu on a daily basis. We would say Clarksville needed this food just as badly as Juan did. Enjoy our .99 cent Tacos with 10 meats available. Our personal favorites are the made-to-order grilled Tortas sandwiches, tamales, and guacamole. Our fresh soups will keep you warm in the winter and our cool Horchata rice water will refresh you in the summer. If you are looking for large portions, try the foot-long burritos or a heaping skillet of the Parillada Mexicana, a fajita with five meats, a quesadilla, and a nopal (cactus) leaf.

I can't go on enough about this place! I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food in general, but this little gem does it RIGHT. Eclectic menu, not greasy, not swimming in sauces. Big attraction for most is the $0.99 tacos, but I love the nachos with fresh guacamole. Guacamole servings are made to order and chunks of advacodo and tomato are visible.

The atmosphere is authentic; it's a very small restaurant with about 6 tables. The parking goes fast, so be sure to get there early.

I make it part of my weekly lunch break (and make up for it in the gym later!)

“Best Mexican in town”
Reviewed June 20, 2014 via mobile

Food and services are great dont let the small building scare you off its so worth the trip there. Its owned by husband and wife and the husband uses his family recipes to bring a great taste and they use local vegetables. Its a great price and the .99 authentic style tacos are so filling and the hand made soft tacos.

“Great tacos”
Reviewed June 10, 2014 via mobile

The food was very good both times I visited. On the negative side you have to pay for chips and salsa and no refills on most drinks. The place could use a good scrubbing. But the food is worth it. Especially the sauces, red and green, for the tacos.

“Authentic Mexican Food”
Reviewed June 6, 2014

Absolutely wonderful authentic and tasty Mexican food. Gorditas and street tacos were excellent and very different from your Taco Bell fare. This is a tiny, family-run restaurant with seating for only about 15-16 people at a few tables. They were busy the whole time we were there with many carry-out customers coming and going as well. Look closely when you drive because you could easily miss it.

“Darn good food, shoddy interior”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

I would give this place four stars, based on the food, if it was just a little less crappy inside. My wife and I really enjoyed the food, very authentic, tasty, low priced, served quickly by a friendly server. Normally, these would all be reasons for four stars in my book. But the place is such a dump that I can honestly only rate it three stars. So, come here for the food, and nothing else. Be ready to swat flies, look out dirty windows with security bars over them, and ignore the beat-up tables and chairs and the uneven, dirty floor. Don't walk here, it's not in the best part of town. And don't leave valuables in your car. We arrived just as the police were arresting a man in the parking lot, Enjoy!
