“Wedding stay, 2 nights”
Reviewed June 8, 2014 via mobile

It was a little pricey for the area; but, still a good value. (We needed refundable rates, which drove up the price.) we had a King suite, which was roomy, comfy, & very clean. There WAS an in room coffee maker & fridge. Staff was extremely, professional, helpful, & friendly, everyone, from desk to housekeeping, to breakfast bar. Nice pool & hot tub area. Breakfasts were delicious, though a little understaffed. Loved having a bar in house. Only complaint was computers slow and/or not working. Would highly recommend, and stay again. Also very convenient & accessible location.

Hotel was immaculate and the service was the high standard I expect from Marriott properties.

The hotel is located near the interstate and the primary road to Ft. Campbell. Between the location and having a room right next to the elevator I was afraid it would be noisy, but it was the quietest stay I've had all week.

My only caution would be for those not accustomed to staying so close to a military base - you will hear helicopters on occasion. It's a sound I love, so it didn't disturb my sleep a bit.

Clarksville has a very busy road, Wilma Rudolph Blvd. At any given time there are hundreds of cars weaving in and out. Although you must turn off the Wilma Rudolph to get to the hotel, once there, the hustle and noise are gone. You enter a paradise of quiet and cleanliness. Our room was great with good lighting and a great layout. Our breakfast was prepared just for us...not sitting in an unattended buffet line. It was a wonderful overnight experience!

This is a really nice and newish Courtyard. Very clean and well appointed. The area around the hotel is full of restaurants and shopping but the hotel sits back one block and it was quiet. I am not a huge fan of the Courtyard Bistro approach where they charge you for everything. There is no complementary anything and that is the only reason that I do not give them an "excellent".

The hotel is nice, rooms are nice and comfortable, but now they do not serve complimentary coffee? I find this extremely unacceptable that you have to now buy your morning cup of coffee at The Bistro! Coffee offered in room is too weak. The young lady at the front desk seemed to enjoy telling me that they no longer provided complimentary coffee with a smirk on her face without offering any other option(s)

Room Tip: Bring your own coffee maker

Sean C, Manager at Courtyard Clarksville, responded to this review, May 7, 2014
While other Marriott brands continue to provide "complimentary coffee" in their Lobby, Courtyard recently did away with this in favor of offering/selling Starbucks brand coffee/specialty drinks. Marriott and Starbucks have had a LONG and successful relationship and a majority of our guests indicated they would rather we have Starbucks available, as opposed to other brands of coffee. The in-room coffee offered is often an amenity we struggle to get just right. Many people have differing definitions of 'strong' and 'weak.' We felt we had found a balance between what Starbucks offers and what we formerly offered in our Lobby. Your feedback is certainly appreciated and we will look at other options available to ensure the coffee we provide is balanced ... for ALL of our guests.

With regards to our team members, I would certainly hope they do not relish the idea of telling ANY of our guests certain amenities, including "complimentary coffee", are no longer offered/available. I would also hope they would not smile/smirk when they have to deliver that message. There are always other options and it is OUR JOB to ensure we share those with our guests. I have spoken, at length, to the young lady in question and provided some additional service training, as well. Your feedback is VERY valuable to us and will help us improve. For that, I can only say THANK YOU!!!

All the best,

This hotel is located close to the Interstate and is easily accessible. Please note that It can take about 30-45 minutes to reach Ft Campbell during rush hour from the hotel. The hotel is fairly new, clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There are lots of places to eat at nearby. Walmart, Target, the Mall are all within a 5 minute driving distance. We got a pretty good deal on our room rate (breakfast not included as typical with Marriott Courtyards). Overall, a pretty good place to stay at while visint the base - if you don't mind a bit of a drive everyday.

From the front desk clerk, who seemed to work the entire weekend to the cleaning staff, it was top notch. Very impressed with the bistro fair. The woman working the evening shift was courteous and efficient and the food was actually quite delicious. When traveling for business, I try to stay at Marriott's for value and simplicity - wished they were all as nice as this one.
